Relatives

Sometimes, we hear and read strange stories about new brides who, after getting married, completely change the atmosphere of their new home through their bad behavior. In a household where the fragrance of love and mutual affection between the elders permeates, feelings of love and hatred start to surface.

Then, every day, a cloud of worry hovers over the house, which leaves everyone breathless, but the complaint remains suppressed in muffled words due to a lack of courage.

Regarding the rights of wives, one of the Mothers of the Believers once told the Prophet (peace be upon him) that eating honey causes a foul odor. He advised, “I will not use it.” Then, a message came from the Allah stating that His lawful actions cannot be prohibited.

Then we wonder why husbands and wives stop talking to each other or with other family members. In this silence, you can often sense the pain of old parents. Sometimes, by peering into their eyes and sitting beside them, you can understand their silence and reduced conversation. Sometimes, they die from sorrow, which cannot be expressed in words due to a lack of courage.

Women can also suffer from ego and forgetfulness. Therefore, the proportion of female witnesses is distinct. The state of the mind is similar to the distance reflected in the mirror, which cannot be cleared without cleaning the mirror. Walls built in the mind practically become barriers in the courtyard. People start feeling distant from themselves and others.

A few years ago in Dubai, there was a Baloch brother who was leading a happy life with his children. One day, someone told him that he was happy here with his wife and children, but in Karachi, his brother had fallen into drug addiction due to unemployment, as he had not maintained any relationship with them for twenty years and was engrossed in his own family life. Then, I heard that his mother used to visit the son’s grave every day.

Due to the lack of a means of livelihood, she started spending her time in the graveyard by her son’s grave mourning and pouring water on the grave. She spent her time in discomfort however other people started supporting her with a pay to pour water on their relatives graves.

On hearing this, I called the Baloch brother and reminded him the value of those precious relationship, and when he heard Allah’s command and the lesson of the Prophet (peace be upon him), he burst into tears. After returning home, he mentioned to his wife, and she replied, “You had disconnected on your own, no one had stopped you to take care of your brother and mother.” The feeling of remorse increased, so he took the next day’s ticket and went to Karachi to look for his brother and mother. He found out that his brother died five months ago and mother had passed away just the day before.

To say, listen, and write is common, but sometimes, you have to verify what women or others are saying. Why not investigate before crying after someone’s death? In a marriage relationship, cutting off family ties is a severe sin. What if we reconcile after death?

In the world, if relationships are temporary, then life is eternal. When we sever relationships with each other, we divide children’s minds into our ego, time, and personal interests. But remember, the real life is after death, and this world is just a struggle. According to the Quran, the real life will be there, so how will the meeting with Allah be? By studying the Quran and the Prophet’s life (peace be upon him), we can understand the essence of life and the purpose of existence in this world.

In life, every relationship has its place, and we must respect it. I have come across people who have broken ties based on someone else’s sayings, which have been disconnected for more than three days, which is not even allowed. And, believe me, it’s Satan who introduces gaps in relationships. Have we ever tried to reconcile?

Before crying bitterly after death, why not investigate and verify the matter? The world’s relationships are temporary, but the real life and death are designed to see who has done good and bad deeds.

If, All is well; everyone is good.
